Knowing where your reps are can be very valuable.
A customer may call and ask for an off-cycle servicing.
Other times a call may come into the office with someone placing a report about one of your drivers.
GPS Tracking lets you know where your people are. These were the reasons that the GPS Tracking was created.
Law Suits
But, we have also had the unfortunate situations where our GPS Tracking has been needed to prove things such as unemployment disputes, as well as cases of employee fraud… All of which were won by our clients in part because of the GPS tracking.
Not Everyone Loves the GPS Tracking
Another mixed opinion result (management thought it was great, some reps did not like this as much) was that soon after its release our clients were reporting to us that they saw their reps driving all over the place, very inefficient paths. Turns out that some of the reps felt that if they were driving, they were working…
Note, there have been a few instances where reps have left the company as soon as they were told GPS Tracking would be required. Management Side Note, in every one of those instances reported, management expressed they were not sad to see that rep leave.
This led us to developing the SMART Routing System to automatically optimize the routes.
“Thanks to the excellent Trakker system and capturing the GPS locations etc. we had a lot of evidence against the rep that was sending out fake invoices. He was brought into the police and confessed yesterday.” – H. Everson (Reading PA)
