Of course there are many reports built into Trakker, but there is also the ability to create your own reports or exports.
There are basically 3 types of reports
- Crystal Reports: pretty formatted reports
- Grid: Raw data format that can be filtered and sorted and exported to Excel similar to other grids.
- Chart: A graph or chart display. These can be added to the dashboard.
Exporting Data From Grids
As you learned in the Desktop basics, any grid can be sorted, filtered and the columns reorganized on. In addition, the data on that grid can be exported to a PDF or Excel for all kinds of ad-hoc reporting needs.
- set the grid up as desired with the proper filters and column orders
- Right click inside the grid area
- Select Grid Export
- Pick Excel or PDF as desired
- A prompt will appear asking were to save it (PLEASE REMEMBER WHERE YOU SAVED IT)
- Fill in the File Name desired
- Click Save
- After it save, it should open up in Excel or your PDF Viewer
- If in Excel, the data can then be edited as desired
- These saved files can then be printed, or emailed or used as needed.
Running Reports
When running a report for the first time, it will be found on the Main Menu under Reports->Reports List
- Clicking this will open the list of available reports to chose from
Once a report has been run a few times, Trakker will recognize it as one that you probably regularly use and it will appear on the left side of you Main Trakker Form in the My Top Reports section for easy access.
In time if the reports age out (they are not used for awhile) they will fall off the My Top Reports list automatically.
